Well it’s been a few days since I wrote, and it’s been generally the same thing (or at least it feels like it to me!) with a slight variation!
Monday I decided to start tackling my ‘critical analysis essay’ for my novel writing module at uni, which I’ve had to do for every single piece of work entered for creative writing over the last few years and I normally leave until a few days before the hand in (mainly because I haven’t finished the work which I am analysing!). However as all my work apart from my flute exam is due in on 6th May (and I mean ALL of it, as all my modules are year modules and I haven’t been marked on anything yet this year) I feel it would be irresponsible to leave it to the last minute. So I started it on monday, and finished the rough draft on tuesday which I’m pleased with! I didn’t think I would write 2,500 words (well 3,100 words because I always write too much) that quickly! Especially as I was still feeling ill until tuesday evening!
Wednesday was a change from normal! I went to see Andy’s niece Katie and her Mum while Andy was sleeping (or at least trying to). We had a lot of fun – Katie likes to be chased and giggles very loudly which probably didn’t help Andy sleep. I also gave her an invitation for my party which she enthusiastically turned over, got out her crayons and drew on! She’s funny!
Thursday I began analysing my 3 chapters of my novel for various elements such as suspense, which is a boring process but is useful. This has taken a lot longer than I expected and has rolled into today. Which is probably one reason why I am blogging as I’m trying to delay the boredom.
I’m getting to the point where I just want to finish uni now, as I’ve been in education since I was 4/5 and am bored with it now! I just want to live life! Roll on 22nd May (when my last deadline – my flute exam is and coincidentally my 21st birthday!).
Later on I’m going to see Andy (and Katie!) who has now finished his work at Sainsbury’s! Yay!
My sister is getting her new car today! A purple ford fiesta! How amusing!
Well I should probably get on and stop avoiding work! Please do join me for another ramble.
